Here are three different types of hummus to make at home! Perfect when trying to avoid packaging (especially plastic), as you can buy all the produce fresh with one or two packages from the beans and sun dried tomatoes. If you want to avoid these two, you can buy fresh chickpeas and soak them yourself, as-well as drying tomatoes from scratch !
These are also great to reduce cost and to ensure that you know what goes into the hummus! Hummus can be used in so many ways! On salads, on top of toast, rice crackers, with vegetables and more! Definitely one to try!
1.) OG Hummus
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5-10 minutes
Can feed: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
1 can of garbanzo chickpeas
4 tbs of garbanzo can water
1 1/2 tbs of tahini
1 garlic clove
3 tbs of lemon juice
2 tbs of extra virgin olive oil
1 tbs of cumin
1 tsp of curry powder
1 tsp of salt

Method:
Add all the ingredients into a blender/food processor (does not have to be too strong)

When serving, garnish with oil, cumin powder and coriander
2.) Jalapeño Hummus
